Player Spotlight: Marcelo Hermes (Criciúma)

Marcelo Hermes, normally a left-back, impressed greatly when he was moved to the left wing against Sport Recife and delivered three chance-creating assists along with an xT value of 0.44 – clearly above his season average of 0.15. The performance shows that his ball progression and passing ability come across better in a more offensive role, giving the coaching team reason to test him higher up the pitch more often.
