    How it is calculated

    The model estimates expected goals for both teams from chance quality, playing style, form and squad, then replays the match thousands of times. The share of replays with three goals or more is the probability of over 2.5 — a frequency, not a guess. The same matrix gives the under side and every other line.

    What does over 2.5 goals mean?

    At least three goals are scored in the match, regardless of who scores them. Under 2.5 means two goals or fewer. The line sits at 2.5 so the bet can never push — it is always over or under.

    When is over 2.5 a good bet?

    When the model's probability is higher than the odds imply. Odds of 1.80 imply about 56%; if the model says 62% there is value. The percentages in the list are the model's estimates — compare them with your bookmaker's odds before betting.

    How often is the list updated?

    Every time the site is rebuilt, several times a day. Played matches drop off and new rounds appear as fixtures are released and line-ups become known.
